Statutory work

Over the last ten years there has been a significant change – a transformation of thinking – when it comes to parents and parenting. Parenting has moved from an issue which was entirely private and beyond the realms of social policy to something which is recognised as important across a raft of policy areas.

Parents and the quality of at-home parenting has finally been recognised, in policy terms, as critical in achieving good outcomes for children and young people.

Of course parents always knew they were critical, and recognising the importance of supporting parents is only the first step.

We focus on the practical steps that need to be taken in order to understand, engage and support parents. We know the challenge is complex, and that is why we offer a range of services and support to help professionals working with or for parents.
